How to achieve this:
- Position the model in a way that some depth of field will be shown, for example, I placed my model on the left, ensuring that depth was shown with the building on the right. This can be done with trees, pathways, scenery and so on.
- The camera must focus on the model so that the background is blurred, showing the depth of field. In order to do this, aim the camera at the model and press down the capture button halfway, then move the camera while holding the button down so that the background is added to the picture but the model is still in focus.
- Location portraiture can also be shot by zooming in to a model, changing the scale of the background. The model could also move forward so that the background stays the same in each shot but your model is closer in the frame.
