Image Bank - Image Within An Image




The three pictures above are all trying to show something going on behind the frame. For example, in the first picture, a newly wed couple is shown on their wedding day and in the last picture, although the picture being shown is the same in every frame, the viewer can still conclude that the subject is painting a picture, showing the stages he has to go through as he is painting the picture. The second picture is black and white, whereas the picture in the frame is in colour, this shows contrast and makes the picture in the frame stand out even more.




In the last three pictures, all of the frames include the same subject in the original picture. This shows a pattern as shown in the picture depicting the theme go ageing; this emphasises on the element of pattern and explores the topic of photomontage. In the very last picture, the subject is looking back at the subject - this shows change and makes the picture more exciting.
