Image Bank - Minimum Depth of Field

The first three pictures have a plain background; this stops the viewer to pay attention to anything other that the main object. The second picture is very interesting because the photographer wanted the viewer to focus on the background but through the glass bottle; not allowing them to see the full picture properly. This makes the viewer curious and enjoy the picture. A similar technique is used in the first picture, where the viewer cannot see the whole snake, creating curiosity once again.

The last three pictures all have something going on in the background and by doing this, the photographer is able to show excitement and action in their photograph. The main subject is the centre of the action as it's the only part of the picture that's not blurred.
